1. COLLECTION INFORMATION
Survey Information
Liv Pure collects personal information through various methods. This includes, but is not limited to: when individuals voluntarily complete a Liv Pure online survey, an order form or a registration page, either online or off-line, or via online or off-line surveys, order forms or registration pages run by third parties. As used herein "online" refers to using the Internet and related technologies. "Offline" includes other methods than online such as in person, by postal mail, or using cell phones and telephones. Liv Pure, or a Third Party (a "Third Party"), may ask individuals to submit various information in the Surveys. This may include their name, email, street address and zip code, as well as their birth date, gender and salary range. Cookies, web beacons, and other information collected using technology.
Liv Pure uses web beacons and cookies to link certain internet-related data about an individual to information in our database. Liv Pure will also use new sources of information as they develop (collectively, "Technology Information") in the future.
(a) Cookies.
A cookie is an amount of data that Liv Pure stores on the hard drive or memory of a computer. This allows Liv Pure's database to match the data of the person with the data of their computer. Web Beacons (b)
Web beacons are a type of programming code which can be used for displaying an image on a website (using a programming function - see http://truste.org/ for more information), or to transfer the unique user identification of an individual (often as a cookie) into a database, and to associate that individual with information previously collected about them in a data base. Liv Pure can then track which websites an individual has visited online. Web beacons can be used to identify products or services that an individual might be interested in and track online behavior for marketing purposes. Liv Pure, for example, might install a webbeacon on a website of a third-party seller where fishing products are available. Bill, a person listed in Liv Pure's database, will visit the fishing website. Liv Pure is notified by the web beacon of Bill's visit. Liv Pure then updates Bill's profile to reflect that Bill has an interest in fishing. Liv Pure can then present Bill with offers for fishing-related products and services. Liv Pure uses web beacons to send emails to people listed in Liv Pure's database.
New Technology (c)
Liv Pure's use and adoption of technology, such as cookies and web beacons on the Internet is also rapidly evolving. Liv Pure encourages users to check this policy periodically for updates on its technology use.
1.4 Outside Information.
Liv Pure receives information about individuals, including public database information, from third parties and other sources outside Liv Pure.
1.5 Information about Individuals
Individual Information is defined as Survey Information, Third Party List Information, Technology Information, Outside Information, other information, and anything else Liv Pure collects or receives regarding individuals.
1.6 No information collected from children.
Liv Pure does not collect personal information from children under 13. Liv Pure will immediately delete any personal information collected by it about children under 13 years old if they become aware of this. Liv Pure does not have any information about children under 13 years old to share or use. Liv Pure designed this policy to comply with Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
1.7 Information about Credit Cards
Liv Pure may collect certain information about credit cards, including expiration dates and card numbers ("Credit Card Information"), when a customer places an order with Liv Pure. Credit Card Information submitted to Liv Pure is encrypted with SSL encryption software. Liv Pure uses the Credit Card Information to process and complete the purchase. The Credit Card Information is only disclosed to third-parties as needed to complete the transaction.
2. Use of Individual Information
2.1 Use of Information at Your Discretion.
The COMPANY may use Individual Information for any legal purpose at its sole discretion. Liv Pure can change its current use of Individual Information at any time. Liv Pure can update its policy at any time, as noted below. Liv Pure can use Individual Information for promotional offers by email, telephone, direct mail, online banner advertising and package stuffers.
2.2 Email.
Liv Pure may use Individual Information in order to send promotional emails to individuals. Liv Pure can maintain different email lists to serve different purposes. To unsubscribe, email recipients must follow the instructions provided at the bottom of each message.
2.2.a) Content of email messages
Liv Pure will send commercial emails with an advertiser’s name in the “From:” line. However, hitting the “Reply” button will result in a reply being sent to Liv Pure. In the "Subject" line, Liv Pure emails will often include a message from an advertiser.
2.2(b) Solicited Email.
Liv Pure will only send email to those who have consented to receiving email from Liv Pure on their website or on websites of third parties. Liv Pure never sends unsolicited emails. Liv Pure's emails do not comply with the laws requiring specific formatting of unsolicited emails.
2.3 Targeted advertising
Liv Pure targets advertising based on Individual Information. Liv Pure uses Technology Information to link an individual to Individual Information when they are using the Internet. Liv Pure then tries to show advertisements for products and services that the individual has shown an interest in through the Surveys or Technology Information. Liv Pure can, at its own discretion, use email, direct mailing, telephones and cell phones to target advertising.
Direct Mailing and Telemarketing
Liv Pure may use Individual Information for direct or indirect marketing to individuals via direct mail or telemarketing, using cell phones and telephones.
Information Technology: Use and Information
Liv Pure uses Technology Information in three ways: (1) to compare a person’s Survey Information, Third Party List Information, and other categories of Individual Information, (2) to track an individual’s online browsing habits, and (3) to determine the most popular areas of Liv Pure's website. This information allows Liv Pure better understands the online habits and preferences of individuals, so they can tailor advertising and promotions for them.
Profiles of Individuals.
Liv Pure makes a profile based on Individual Information. Combining Survey Information, Third Party List Information and other sources of Individual Information like information from public databases can create a profile.
2.7 Individual Information Storage
Liv Pure keeps the Individual Information on Liv Pure computers in a database. Liv Pure's computers are protected by security measures, such as firewalls, to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration information. Liv Pure does not guarantee that its security will stop Liv Pure computers being illegally accessed and Individual Information stored on them being stolen or altered.
3. DISEMINATION OF INDIVIDUAL INFO.
3.1 Transfer or Sale to Third Parties
Liv Pure MAY TRANSFER OR SELL INDIVIDUAL DATA TO THIRD-PARTIES FOR ANY PURPOSES AT Liv Pure's SOLE DISCRETION. Please send us an email if you don't want us to use your personal information to promote our products or services, or to sell, sell, transfer, or otherwise provide information about you.
